  • Lee Miller met Picasso in 1937. From then until the death of the artist, this American photographer took near a thousand photos -more of a hundred of which are included in this catalogue- that show the private side of Picasso and his world. Of particular note is a very intimate account by Antony Penrose, Lee and Roland's son, who recalls through the eyes of a boy, the unique experience that was living with Picasso. Moreover, two texts about Picasso are also reproduced: a writing by Lee Miller 1960, on the occasion of an exhibition about the artist held in London, and the other one, unpublished, written by Roland Penrose.
